Jessica is a multidisciplinary artist of Palestinian, Latinx, Indigenous Central American, Irish, and Jewish heritage, with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Her journey has taken her across the globe, including three years in Mongolia with the U.S. Peace Corps and a role with the United Nations Biodiversity Project. These experiences have enriched her artistic perspective, informing her exploration of environmental and cultural themes in her work.
Jessica’s art is known for its vibrant storytelling and use of unconventional materials, often addressing themes of environmental conservation, cultural identity, and the interplay of human and natural worlds. She creates murals, paintings, and collages, often choosing to depict animals to give them a voice they might not otherwise have. Her installations and mixed-media works have been showcased in exhibitions such as Artists’ Footprints at Denver's Biennial of the Americas, Detritus at the Houston Art League, and Ourubberous at the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art, where she used 10,000 discarded bike inner tubes to make a compelling environmental statement.
Her work is held by art consulting and curation companies such as Turning Arts, NINE dot ARTS, and MakeWest, reflecting her art's resonance with diverse audiences. Jessica’s creations invite viewers to reflect on their place within the broader tapestry of culture and nature, sparking dialogue on our shared environment and interconnected heritage.
