I worked with the graduating 5th graders at Crest View Elementary to create this captivating mural. Together, we explored the variety of birds native to our region, and the students, working in small groups, selected their favorite species. We ultimately chose 15 birds to feature, based on the students' research. I designed the composition and taught the basics of mural painting to the children. The mural showcases local birds, each symbolizing freedom, adventure, and boundless possibilities. As these birds soar, they reflect the students' eagerness to embark on new journeys and discover new horizons.
