Found Connections
This series of collages emerged during the Covid Pandemic, a time of physical isolation, when limitations of space and materials prompted a deeper exploration of creativity. The pandemic forced me to rediscover what was already around—whether it was physical objects or ideas—and to find creative ways to make use of what was available.
Repurposing my old work, magazines, and newspapers can be seen as a metaphor for the way people during the pandemic had to "find" new ways to connect with the world and each other, often through limited means or within confined spaces. It could also represent the connections between past and present, or the way the isolation period allowed me to rediscover old works and memories in a new light.
