This mural I painted for the town of Nederland, Colorado pays homage to the rich heritage of the local mountains and the Ute indigenous people who have called this land home for generations.

In this vibrant mural, the majestic mountains stand tall and proud, reminding us of their enduring strength and the wisdom they hold. The graceful white bird soars across the canvas, embodying the spirit of Chipeta, a symbol of peace, unity, and resilience.

As the sun sets on the horizon, its warm hues weave together the past, present, and future of this sacred land. Inspired by the Ute traditions, this mural is a tribute to the land's original stewards, a celebration of their culture, and a reminder of our responsibility to honor and protect it.
